You’ve got less than an hour and you want to do something that can quickly update your online business.

Here are 5 quick website updates you can do in 30 minutes or less. (Each one taking at least 30 Minutes).

1. Review and update your navigation menu.

One great thing you can do is to review the options on your navigation menu. Are all these links still relevant?

If not you may want to remove the link. or alternatively, add more to your navigation bar remember the more pages and links you have on your page can greatly increase your organic search within search engines.

2. Write a blog post and share it on social media.

A Blog post is always a great way of showing your business is still running.

If you have an item or service that could help someone during the COVID-19 crisis then write about it and watch your customers share it on their social media channels. The post does not have to long just ensure it is informative.

3. Add your phone number to your site header.

Your Website should be easy for people to contact you quickly if they need.

Consider adding a phone number to your header so people can easily access it. If you don’t have a business that accepts calls and is completely online ensure you have a contact us button located in plain view so your customers can get in contact with you.

4. Review & update your metadata.

What’s Meta? well, it is what search engines use when indexing your website. The metadata appears in the search engine results when your site comes up.

If you have any metadata set up, search engines will create this for you but it will likely be not what you want the description to be!.

If you have a WordPress Website you can SEO your site easily using the Yoast SEO plugin. Yoast makes it easy to change the page title and meta description directly within the editor of each post.

Another added bonus – you don’t have to remember the latest standards for meta description length. Yoast will highlight the text in red, yellow, or green to let you know how much space is remaining.
